Hi, I’m Crystal Ferris — Realtor, designer, investor, and founder of Studio Type A. I’m also a mom, a former scientist, and a teacher who’s endlessly curious about how people live — and what makes a home feel right.I’ve always been drawn to design, and to the moments when something’s off — when a space doesn’t quite flow, or a home doesn’t reflect the people in it. I love figuring out why, and how to make it make sense again — aesthetically, energetically, and financially.That curiosity has shaped everything I do. I see homes as living systems — with patterns, potential, and untapped value. Sometimes that means reimagining a layout to create better flow; other times, it’s finding the investment opportunity hidden in plain sight.That’s what inspired me to create House Therapy — a design + strategy session for when your home feels off, or when you’re ready to make it pay off.
